Kim and J.R.'s Around the World in 60 days Itinerary

Once again, J.R. and I are off on another adventure, this time around the entire Earth!  How on earth (pun intended) did we decide to take on such an endeavor, you might ask.  Well, we already had the beginning portion of this trip (the cruise from Scotland to Norway) planned since last year with our constant travel companions, Bonnie and Todd, as these will be the last of our cruise credits with Atlas Ocean Voyages that we earned from our Antarctica cruise (my last blog).  Then, Billy Strings (who JR and I have become avid fans of, if you haven't heard of him, look him up on youtube) announced a 4 show tour in Australia and New Zealand in July.  Before I knew it, J.R. had bought concert tickets and contacted Swain Australia Tours, who had planned our wonderful trip to Australia and New Zealand 25 years ago.  The issue was that we would be returning home from our cruise on July 2 only to leave 5 days later to fly the opposite direction in time for the first show.  J.R. thought why do that when we can just keep going East and see some new places we haven't been to yet, so that's what we decided to do.  

~ 60 days away from home is quite the planning undertaking but we certainly wouldn't even consider doing this trip without our trusted team of house/pet sitters:  Marina, Ed, and Sandy.  We thank you and especially Onyx, who will enjoy your company in our absence.

We have 3 days to go before taking off for London and our guestroom looks like a few suitcases exploded in it but our planning is slowly coming together.  To get this blog started, here is our itinerary so you get a taste of what is to come.  Thanks for travelling along with us.

June 9 - Pick up rental car from Key West airport in order to drive to Miami airport the next day

June 10 - Drive to Miami, drop off rental car. Fly Airbus 380 (biggest plane in the world!!) from Miami to London Heathrow
